Shades of Midnight is made up of five seasoned Muscians who have toured, recorded and have a wealth of gigging experience

Originally formed back in the sixties by Bass player and Founder member John Powell 

The Shades started off as a Blues band playing at various Venues around the country

As the music scene changed at that time the band decided to change also and added a Lead vocalist a young male singer by the name of Billy Ocean

Over the years the band has changed line up with members leaving for various reasons.

The band had a big shake up in 2023 when John and Clive Shedden (Robbie C ) who was now Lead Vocalist and Guitar decided to look for new members and changing from a four piece line up to five by adding a Keyboard player

After various adds and auditions, Colin Burke Guitar, Rob Trounce Keyboards and Gordon Henderson drums completed the new look and sound of Shades Of Midnight

The New line-up formed in June 2003 have gone from strength to strength, performing at Holiday Parks, Clubs and Festivals around the Country.
